In November 2025, Youth Guidance completed major renovations on its 8,600 square-foot facility, a historic landmark at 1028 20th Place that once served as Vero Beach’s public library.
Our redesigned facility includes:
Commercial teaching kitchen for culinary arts
Workshop for vocational training and construction trades
Technology lab for computer programming
Expanded outdoor recreation and garden areas
Multipurpose Rooms for academics, life skills, and college and career preparation.
Our goal is to help Indian River County children, teenagers, and young adults break the cycle of poverty. Redesigning the Youth Guidance facility will allow us to accomplish the following:
Increase the number of youth we serve from 55 to 140 daily.
Offer young adults additional certification-based courses in culinary arts, drone technology, and more.
Expand our pre-apprenticeship programs to fill gaps in our local workforce.
